Everyone! Let’s think about the future of the Free Hetherington. 25th June 1-7pm

*free dinner, cake and tea/coffee*
Want to talk about the Free Hetherington?
Have you been in for a tour or an event?
If so, we value your opinions! This space is yours too.
We want to hear everyone’s experiences, hopes, fears.
…If you’ve left the space, we’d like to know a bit more about that.

25 June is to share and celebrate what we’ve learned, and decide what to do next. We are all going to decide the future of the Free Hetherington.

Suggested agenda (please note timings may change on the day)
1:00 – 1:30 intro– small groups, getting to know each other
Break
2:00 – 3:30 history of the occupation. Successes, lessons learned – from different perspectives.
Break
4:00 – 5:30 decision about what we should do next
Dinner
6:15 – 7:00 discussion about how we could achieve that

(You can drop in to whichever parts of the day interest you)

Feel free to come along and listen, you don’t have to know all about the FH beforehand. There will be an anonymous suggestions box where you can write questions or thoughts to be included in the discussion, and we would welcome written anonymous contributions from those who cannot attend. Contributions could cover your experiences in the early days of the occupation, or what you think the occupation should be doing in the future, or anything else you’d like to say.

  1. Congratulations – your victorious struggle should galvanize the university sector and the whole labour movement. Indefinite strikes combined with workplace occupations is the way to defeat the Tories.
